I am an extremely enthusiastic, dedicated and highly conscientious teacher, well liked by children of all ages. I have a sound teaching ability with good subject knowledge and ensure that pupils have fun and enjoy all aspects of their learning with me.

My numeracy and literacy teaching is child-centred, caring and nurturing. I believe strongly in giving lots of encouragement and praise throughout the teaching and learning process.

Modern Foreign Languages Tuition

I am qualified to teach the French language at primary level and can tutor the German language at all levels (GCSE and A' Level,) as I have a Batchelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in German Studies.

As a highly committed and qualified languages expert, I have high standards in both German and French subject knowledge and language learning methodology.

I also have years of previous language expertise in industry, where I developed my competence in both written and spoken German through frequent customer contact and visits.

My knowledge of spoken and written German are extensive, having studied at a German University and lived in Germany for a year.

1983-1987 BA (Hons) Degree German Studies. Warwick University, Coventry, West Midlands.

One academic year study at Heidelberg University, Germany.

2004-2005 PGCE Canterbury Christ Church University College.

Full Time Postgraduate study, curriculum specialisation - Modern Foreign Languages (German.)

Teaching Experience

2004-2005 Lossburg School, Lossburg, near Freudenstadt, Germany.

2005 onwards Qualified teacher in Maidstone for seven years.Throughout my training and teaching years I have taught children all subjects including Maths, English, French and German across Key Stages 1,2 and 3.

Fully CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked - now called DBS checking - and Teaching Agency Registered.
